Turing Fest 2020 Letter
Dear writer,
Brave Police J-Decker
Characters: Group: Deckerd & Yuuta Tomonaga; Group: Deckerd/Gunmax; Group: Duke & Regina Argine; Group: Gunmax & Shunsuke Toudou
My favorite things about this canon are the classic AI tropes and, of course, the friendships. For any of the human + robot combinations, the kind of tropes I've mentioned in my Likes section would make me really happy!
For Deckerd/Gunmax, I love their "odd couple" feel and how they actually bring out the best from each other in spite of how much they annoy each other at first.
Imperial Radch Series - Ann Leckie
Characters: Group: Justice of Toren One Esk Nineteen | Breq & Mercy of Kalr; Group: Justice of Toren One Esk Nineteen | Breq/Mercy of Kalr; Athoek Station (Imperial Radch); Gem of Sphene (Imperial Radch)
This is another canon that's really well suited to the classic AI tropes, both during the books' timeline and afterwards. The books end at a very interesting point, so this is a case where I'd love post-canon fic! How does Athoek Station deal with the new situation? What about Sphene, who's so ancient? And of course, what do Breq and Mercy of Kalr do next?
The Transformers (Cartoon Generation One)
Characters: Group: Starscream/Skyfire
Starscream/Skyfire is one of my all time OTPs, and I love the idea of them exploring planets and having adventures when they were young. For fic set in the canon's present day, I really enjoy seeing them struggle with the consequences of their falling out.
Transformers Animated (2007)
Characters: Group: Blitzwing & Lugnut; Group: Optimus Prime & Sentinel Prime; Group: Prowl & Bulkhead; Group: Sari Sumdac & Isaac Sumdac
This is one of those canons where I'd genuinely enjoy fic of the characters hanging around and being themselves, but to give a few more specific ideas: Blitzwing and Lugnut's excellent adventures, Sari and Sumdac dealing with her being part-robot (and her dad not telling her!), Prowl and Bulkhead's different approaches to life, Optimus and Sentinel having to work together in spite of their differences... Honestly, go wild!
Crossover Fandom
Characters: Group: Susan Calvin (Asimov) & Ultron (MCU); Group: Susan Calvin (Asimov) & Vision (MCU)
These nominations caught my eye and I think they're really clever! I'd love to see what Susan thinks of either Ultron or Vision, in particular AoU!Vision who's just been "born" and doesn't have a lot of experience with the world yet.
Star Trek: Picard
Characters: Group: Soji Asha & Agnes Jurati (Picard); Group: Soji Asha & Jean-Luc Picard (Picard); Soji Asha (Picard)
Given how much I love AI tropes, of course I was going to get hooked by this show and by Soji in particular. I'd seriously enjoy anything about her: Soji dealing with her new discoveries about herself, her post-canon friendship with Picard, dealing with Agnes's curiosity, I really do mean anything.
(A quick note about Narek/Soji, just to be clear: I didn't request it because I'm not interested in it as the main focus of a fic, but it's not a DNW either. Please don't feel like you have to avoid mentioning it! It's a pretty big part of Soji's canon storyline after all.)
First of all, thank you! I hope this letter is helpful to you. I'm not great at coming up with specific prompts, so when I say I'd be happy with anything, please take it at face value - all of my requests are for characters and groups I'd enjoy reading about no matter what! That said, I hope my likes and each request's section are useful.

DNWs: Explicit violence, non-con/dub-con, incest, fic that is much darker than the source material, AUs that majorly change the canon characterizations, character bashing.
Likes: I love the usual robot/AI tropes: when does a machine become a person; what does "being alive" mean; should robots be treated as people; human-robot friendship; robots developing more complex thoughts/feelings by interacting with the people around them; robots learning about everyday life... you can't go wrong with the classics.
For more general fic likes: the Power of Friendship; themes dealing with memory/perception of reality/self-awareness (I like those in general but they apply particularly well for this exchange!); casefic and missing episodes; characters going on adventures; slice of life; humor.
Something that's relevant to all my requests: as long as the character or group we matched on is the main focus, feel free to include any other characters in the fic. All requests are for fanfic.
